Ness Moore AKA Skate Girl headed North to Onslow last weekend and will be gracing the skate park with her skate skills again on 8and 9 December.
Ness created Skate Girl to encourage and motivate women and girls to pick up a board and push through their comfort zones.
The Foundation approached Ness to come up to Onslow to deliver a series of skate workshops that encourage kids to be strong, motivated and courageous while developing skills on and off the board. And Ness did not disappoint, the Onslow Skate Park was full of smiles and laughs could be heard over the music all weekend.
The Skate Dayz program is fully funded by Thalanyji Foundation, all safety equipment and refreshments are supplied. Ness facilitates fun and engaging skate workshops, demos and games suitable for all age groups.
Perhaps the next Tony Hawk hiding out in Onslow?
If you know of a young person who would benefit from this program, please contact Thalanyji Foundation on (08) 9116 9100 or [email protected]

"It is fantastic to see the local community come together and having fun while progressing their skate skills. While it seems like it is all fun and games, it is the skills they learn and develop off the board that are really important.”
“The Onslow community has welcomed Ness with enthusiasm, support and praise. It is a real game changer seeing the confidence of these kids grow as they progress.”
